Small leaves early in the year commonly used by female newts to lay her eggs in. Place on a shallow shelf in the pond and allow to scramble around. Also attracts bees and butterflies with blue or white flowers in Summer. Sent rooted in a 9cm basket.

Green oval leaves with scented white flowers from March - May and sometimes October - November grow out across the water surface. Does well in shade or part shade. Sent rooted in - 15cm mesh basket to place 60 - 90cm (2' - 3') below water level.

This is a stunning all red flytrap with shorter piranha like teeth , stand the pot in a saucer of rainwater in a sunny position for best results , great in an unheated greenhouse year round

Waterside Nursery - Pontederia cordata - blue Pickerel Weed
Blue flower spikes above upright green heart shaped leaves. Flowers - August-September. Also available with a white flower. Place on a 20-25cm(8-10") depth shelf. Taller Pontederia cordata lancifolia grows to 90cm(36") tall from a 30-40cm(12-16") depth shelf. Great plant for bees as it flowers later in the season & its flower shape suits them, especially good for the Bumble bee. Sent rooted in 11cm(4") mesh basket & aquatic soil ready to place immediately in your pond.

Primrose Hall Peonies - Paeonia 'Claire De Lune''
‘Claire de Lune’ is a very special peony because of its unusual flowers and gorgeous scent; it also makes an excellent cut flower. ‘Claire de Lune’ has distinctive broad mid-green leaves and stunning lemon coloured single, cup-shaped flowers with golden centres. Floriferous, impressive and reliable peony. Fragrant, large flowers, all-time favourite.
Any fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun or partial shade in a sheltered position.

Hardy's Cottage Garden Plants - Sidalcea 'Rose Queen'
Height x Spread: 120cm x 60cm
Upright spikes of vivid, rose-pink flowers with gently fringed petals, are carried high above rounded, mid green basal foliage. This gorgeous form of 'Prairie Mallow' is highly rated for its large, hollyhock-like flowers which will add real delight to the middle of a cottage garden or herbaceous border, flowering for weeks on end during summer. Cutting the first flush of flowers back to the ground, will encourage a second flush.
It can be combined very successfully with ornamental grasses and other perennials to create naturalistic 'prairie type' planting schemes. An excellent cut flower; it grows best in a light, reasonably fertile and humus-rich soil, that is free draining but retains some moisture, in full sun.

A herbaceous perennial with finely cut dark green foliage and semi double flowers opening in salmon pink, fading through coral to apricot and the lemon Will be content in a shadier position. Hardy's Cottage Garden Plants - Geum Scarlet Tempest ('Macgeu001'PBR) (Tempest Series)
Height x Spread: 55cm x 50cm
Striking, semi double, apricot suffused scarlet flowers appear on slender, hairy branching stems above mid green clumping foliage. Here it flowered from late April to late September, its stunning colour stopping people in their tracks.
A fantastic container plant, it combines beautifully with purples, white, pale pinks and blues in a border. A must-have plant, you will be the envy of your friends. Just regularly deadhead and remove stems that stop flowering to encourage fresh growth. It thrives in a sunny to partially shaded site in any good, free draining soil.
This knock-out plant wowed RHS Chelsea in 2016 and was awarded runner-up to Plant of the Year.

Hardy's Cottage Garden Plants - Lamprocapnos spectabilis
Height x Spread: 90cm x 60cm
Previously known as Dicentra, Lamprocapnos spectabilis forms a clump of divided green foliage. Arching stems bear heart-shaped pink flowers hence the common name Bleeding Heart. The flowers appear during late spring.
Best when planted in a sheltered spot in partial shade and in a humus-rich soil. A great plant to use as under-planting for trees, shrubs or roses. Division can be carried out during early spring.
All parts of this plant are toxic.
Ottershaw Cacti - Aeonium 'Jubilee'
Launched May 2022 at RHS Chelsea Flower Show this lollipop shaped plant with glorious copper and yellow/green large heads was a finalist in the Plant of Year competition. Grows to 45cm in 3 years. We have kept it frost free over winter at +2 degrees and let it enjoy all the lovely sunshine in the summer months to capture all the wonderful colours.

The most famous and planted variety of the pomegranate. It can produce a terrific crop (in a conservatory) of large, bright, leathery skinned fruits with an unmistakable, vibrant flesh that has a sweet but sharp taste. They can make a great patio plant, a fantastic addition to your balcony or they can even be trained as an upright, single-trunk small tree due to its compact habit and ultimate height of 1.5m.
