Upright spikes of vivid, rose-pink flowers with gently fringed petals, are carried high above rounded, mid green basal foliage. This gorgeous form of 'Prairie Mallow' is highly rated for its large, hollyhock-like flowers which will add real delight to the middle of a cottage garden or herbaceous border, flowering for weeks on end during summer. Cutting the first flush of flowers back to the ground, will encourage a second flush.
It can be combined very successfully with ornamental grasses and other perennials to create naturalistic 'prairie type' planting schemes. An excellent cut flower; it grows best in a light, reasonably fertile and humus-rich soil, that is free draining but retains some moisture, in full sun.

Striking, semi double, apricot suffused scarlet flowers appear on slender, hairy branching stems above mid green clumping foliage. Here it flowered from late April to late September, its stunning colour stopping people in their tracks.
A fantastic container plant, it combines beautifully with purples, white, pale pinks and blues in a border. A must-have plant, you will be the envy of your friends. Just regularly deadhead and remove stems that stop flowering to encourage fresh growth. It thrives in a sunny to partially shaded site in any good, free draining soil.
This knock-out plant wowed RHS Chelsea in 2016 and was awarded runner-up to Plant of the Year.

Previously known as Dicentra, Lamprocapnos spectabilis forms a clump of divided green foliage. Arching stems bear heart-shaped pink flowers hence the common name Bleeding Heart. The flowers appear during late spring.
Best when planted in a sheltered spot in partial shade and in a humus-rich soil. A great plant to use as under-planting for trees, shrubs or roses. Division can be carried out during early spring.
All parts of this plant are toxic.
